S&S Consolidated ISD

John Chism is a 20-year veteran of law enforcement, beginning his career in Henderson County, TX. Chism has served in various capacities in law enforcement including Chief of Police, Sergeant, and FTO. Chism was a member of the Rapid Response Team, a K-9 Handler, Investigator, and Sergeant over all SROs for the Wise County Sheriff’s Office.

Chism earned a M.A. and a B.A. from Southwestern Assemblies of God University and an MDiv from Luther Rice Seminary. Chism holds his Master’s Peace Officer License and is a TCOLE instructor, A.L.E.R.R.T. instructor, TASER instructor, Field Training Officer, and Mental Health Peace Officer. He has received certificates from the Texas Association of School Resource Officers and the National Association of School Resource Officers and has had a significant amount of training from Texas School Safety Center covering numerous areas of school safety and security.

He has three children: Jewel a graduate from S&S, J.P. a junior at S&S, and Emerald a 7th grader at S&S. When he is not working, Chism enjoys working on his farm, hunting, fishing, playing golf, reading books, and making memories with those he loves!
