HS Archers qualify for Nationals!
Posted Date: 03/23/26 (09:19 AM)

Our HS archery team competed in the state championship tournament on Friday. The bullseye (traditional colored circles target) team did very well with 9 of the 18 archers achieving new personal best scores. They were very close to qualifying for advancement to the national championship and ended up 40th out of 82 teams. Archery competes against the entire state, from large homeschool programs all the way to 6A behemoths, who usually qualify two very good teams, so this is a better result than it may first appear.
This year, we had 9 brave kids attempt the 3D animal target competition at state. They had never done this type of competition prior to their state round. I'm proud to announce that the 3D team qualified for the national championship in Kentucky! This is the first time S&S HS has qualified a team for nationals. Our 3D team consisted of Parker Ringger, Meghan Schroeder, Kris Kelly, Ryli Maestas, Larry King, Karson McLinksy, Mckenzie Ridenour, Will Rotello, and Baylie Emmert.
Please congratulate these outstanding archers if you see them.
