Registration
Welcome to S&S! The information below is for students enrolling in S&S for the 2026-2027 school year.
- If you are enrolling a student in HeadStart or Pre-K, you must complete the prequalification step and be approved. Once approved, you’ll continue with the steps below to enroll your student.
- If you are applying to be a transfer student, then you need to contact the school for eligibility/approval.
- All other students (new and returning) will complete the registration steps below.
The Ascender Parent Portal Registration site is not compatible with a smartphone. If you have issues completing the applications below, you can schedule a time to come on campus and use a computer. A member of our staff will be happy to help you! Please set aside plenty of time; some of the requirements below are time-consuming.
REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION
All students will need to provide proof of residency: a copy of a utility bill, or a rental/lease agreement with a paid receipt. This is required every year. In addition to proof of residency, you may be asked to provide the following if it is not already on file:
- parent/guardian photo ID
- certified birth certificate
- immunization record
- social security card
- proof of income (Headstart and Pre-K parents only)
You will need to either upload these documents to your Ascender Parent Portal (in the steps below) or make arrangements with the school to bring paper copies for submission.

WHO CAN ATTEND?
Pre-K registration is open to all children served by S&S CISD who will be 4 years old on or before September 1 of the school year and meet income qualifications for Pre-K enrollment.
Kindergarten registration is open to all children served by S&S CISD who will be 5 years old on or before September 1 of the school year. (If your student completed Pre-K in S&S CISD, then you are a returning student and will need to do the “Returning Student” enrollment process).
REQUIRED DOCUMENTATION:
- Certified Birth Certificate
- Social Security Card
- Immunization Record
- Parent(s) or Guardian(s) official ID or Driver's license
- Proof of residency within the S&S CISD district: current utility bill (gas, water, electricity) or lease agreement with a paid receipt
- Proof of income (Headstart and Pre-K parents only)

- You will need an email address to create the account.
- After logging in, you will choose New Student Enrollment.
- You must select a parent to be the primary enrolling parent.
- Complete all the steps inside the portal
- Make sure to complete every form and check for accuracy
- If any required fields are left blank, you will receive a prompt to help you complete them
- The last step is selecting enroll student.
A member of the S&S CISD staff will review your file and contact you to set up a time to finish enrollment.

Returning students need to check each form and make corrections/updates as needed. Please double-check mailing addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses. If this information is not accurate, you will not receive important communication from the district.
You must submit an updated Proof of Residency each year. This is required for ALL returning students.
- You must log in with an email that matches the primary guardian's email address from last year.
- After you log in, go to the silhouette (top corner) and choose My Account (upper right).
- You will be prompted to complete registration for your child.
- Complete all the steps inside the portal
- Review and complete every form
- If any required fields are left blank, you will receive a prompt to help you complete them
- When finished, click submit to district. Registration will show 100% completion
