on the S&S Elementary Campus!

QUALIFICATIONS **

• Child must be 4 years old on or before September 1 of the school year.
• Must meet income guidelines
• Headstart and Pre-K also accept
  • Homeless Families
  • Foster Care (Currently)
  • SNAP or TANF
  • Children with Disabilities
  • SSI (Disability)

**Families who do not qualify for free Head Start or Pre-K based on the above requirements may have the option to enroll their child in a limited number of tuition-based spots.

• Parent(s) or Guardian(s) official ID or Driver's license
• Proof of residency within the S&S CISD district: current utility bill (gas, water, electricity) or lease agreement with a current paid receipt
• Proof of income

REGISTRATION PROCESS

Applications for Head Start and Pre-K are submitted to Region 10 using the button below. Your application will be reviewed by a member of their staff, and a member of the S&S CISD staff will contact you to continue the enrollment process.

Use the button above to access your Parent Portal account. If you need assistance setting up your account, please view the Parent Portal Directions.

1. You will need an email address to create the account. 
2. After logging in, you will choose New Student Enrollment.
3. You must select a parent to be the primary enrolling parent.
4. Complete all the steps inside the portal
5. Make sure to complete every form and check for accuracy
6. If any required fields are left blank, you will receive a prompt to help you complete them
7. The last step is selecting enroll student.

Once you complete the registration process, a member of our staff will review your file and will call you to set up a time to finish enrollment.

*Kindergarten registration is open to all children served by S&S CISD who will be 5 years old on or before September 1 of the school year. (If your student completed Pre-K in S&S CISD, then you are a returning student and will need to do the “Returning Student” enrollment process).

Returning students should review each form and make any necessary corrections or updates. Please double-check mailing addresses, phone numbers, and email addresses. If this information is not accurate, you will not receive important communication from the district.

You must submit an updated Proof of Residency each year. This is required for ALL returning students.

1. You must log in with an email that matches the primary guardian's email address from last year.
2. After you log in, go to the silhouette (top corner) and choose My Account (upper right).
3. You will be prompted to complete registration for your child.
4. Complete all the steps inside the portal
5. Review and complete every form
6. If any required fields are left blank, you will receive a prompt to help you complete them
7. When finished, click submit to district. Registration will show 100% completion

If you are applying to be a transfer student, then you need to contact the school for eligibility/approval. The transfer paperwork will need to be completed and submitted for approval.

Keeping your phone number and email address up to date ensures that you receive important school communications, including emergency alerts, school closure/delay announcements, event reminders, and updates regarding your child’s progress. It’s also essential to have current emergency contacts on file in case we need to reach someone when a parent or guardian is unavailable. Please take a moment to verify your contact details and emergency contacts to ensure you stay connected and we can communicate with you when it matters most.

Parents and guardians can use the registration portal to update their contact information, as well as add or revise emergency contacts for their students, at any time. Simply use the user ID and password you established when you registered your student. If you forgot your user ID or password, use the prompts within the registration portal.
